Sigh, whatever, here's Chapter 1:

Chapter 1
“New Game”

“Rise and shine sleepyhead!”

My brother, Leon Cloud, 2 years older than me, videogame addict like me, woke me up…

“Today is the day dad is gonna buy us a new console!”

“Ok, ok, go downstairs and tell dad I’m gonna get ready.”

Well, today is the release of this game called “Realm of Heroes”, dad just got a salary raise, that’s why he’s gonna get us a new console, 1 for me and one for Leon…

I got ready and went with my Leon and my dad to the Game Planet, a local gamestore. There was a long line when we got there. I saw my 2 best friends, Drake and Zoe. They were videogame addicts too, and they were gonna get their own console too.

“Hi Drake, Hi Zoe.”

“Hi Zakk”

Drake is my childhood friend, we always hang out, we even play vintage videogames, like “Guitar Hero 5” and “Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires”. Those were the games my dad used to play during his childhood.

Now Zoe on the other hand, I just met her during my Freshmen year, then after a year, we became best friends. I sorta have a crush on her.

The three of us always play MMORPGs, we even have our own guilds. We dominate every MMO we play, our guilds always reach the top 10 guilds in the MMO, Our Ninja, Archer/Spellcaster/Healer and Warrior tandem is so unstoppable.

“So Zakk, you gonna get your own console too?” said Zoe

“Yeah, even my brother will get one.” I answered

“Cool, so which class are you gonna get?” Drake said.

“Class?”

“Yeah, this new MMO has only one class per console.”

I stopped there for a second, I just saw my rival walk out of the store, carrying a “Brawler Class” Console….

Zakk and Leon’s P.O.V.…..

Me and Leon stocked up some potions, I bought some equipment with my starting money while Leon spent all of his starting money in mana potions and spellbooks.

“You ready Zakk?” asked Leon

“Armed and Ready” I answered.

We were heading out to the town gates, when suddenly, a fellow Shinobi stopped us.

“Wait for me!” shouted the Shinobi

“What do you need?” said Leon.

“I-I was gonna ask you guys if I can come with you to the next town…”

“Zakk, you want to accept his request?” asked Leon.

“Ok, but do not drop your guard, this guy might be a thief, PK, Hacker or whatever.” I whispered.

“Hey Shinobi, sure! You can come with us!” I shouted.

“T-thanks…”

We set out to Zephyr City, but we have to stop by this next town called “Ivalice”.

While walking in the forest, We Introduced ourselves to the Shinobi, the Shinobi looks like my age, but he’s thinner than me.

“So Shinobi, what’s your name?” I asked.

“Oh, Mm-my name is Adz” the shinobi answered

“So what are you gonna do in Ivalice anyway?”

“I h-have a quest, I need to look for an Ice rune. Some of the monsters near Ivalice drop them” he answered.

“Ice Rune?”

“Ice rune, yes, A rune can have many uses, like for example, the Ice Rune, you can ask a runemaster to attach it to your weapon, so your weapon can have an Ice element. You can ask the runemaster to attach it to your right hand, then it can amplify your magic too..”

“That’s a pretty neat system! I have to look for one too!” I answered in amazement.

“I-I forgot to tell you, there are 7 types of runes, which are; Fire, Ice, Water, Earth, Wind, Thunder, Light and Dark.”

“Cool!”

Leon stopped walking, I even crashed on his back, comical style…

“Ow!” I whined.

“Shh! What’s that over there?” Leon said.

“Aa-according to the bestiary, it’s an Ice Wolf. That means were on Ivalice territory…”Adz said.

“So it’s an ice type monster, time to FIRE up some spells! Get it?” said Leon.

“You know what Leon? That pun is soooo stupid!” I said, while pulling my katana from my holster.


“Leave me alone Zakk!” Leon bragged.

“Ok, let’s attack that monster, It might drop the Rune your looking for, Adz.” I said.

I charged by throwing shurikens and kunais to the wolf, while Leon was backing me up with buff spells. Adz started to do some jutsus, he was breathing fireballs to the wolf. For a second there I thought I defeated the wolf in a strong, powerful blow, But, it didn’t die that easily..Then suddenly, Leon casted a paralyze spell. Then Adz threw a kunai and it hit the head of the wolf. But, it’s still standing…

“This, this thing is strong…” said Leon.

“Leon, do you have any spells that speed up a person?” I asked.

“I have one here, but it only last 5 seconds”

“5 seconds is more than I need.”

Leon started to cast the spell, which took 20-30 seconds. It was very tiring to keep up with the wolf. When he was done casting it, it made me move so fast, I quickly dodged every slash, strike, and bite of the wolf. I quickly counterattacked by slashing and striking him with the remaining 3 seconds. After striking the final, strong blow, the Ice Wolf finally died. After the Ice Wolf die, A system messenger popped up in front of us, with a message for each of us.

“Zakk Cloud, Shinobi Class, 100 Exp Gained – Level up/ Next level: 500 Exp”

“Leon Cloud, Spellcaster Class, 100 Exp Gained – Level up/ Next level: 500 Exp”

“Adz Cliff, Shinobi Class, 100 Exp Gained – Level up/ Next level: 500 Exp”

“Oh Yeah! Level up!” Adz shouted.

“Anyways, Any luck about the Ice Rune?” Leon asked.

“Nn-no luck, all the wolf dropped are; “Ice Kunai 2x”, “Ice Spellbook” and an “Ice Katana”. ” He answered back.

“You take the katana, Adz.” I said.

“N-no, you take it, I can’t use one. I’ll just take the kunai.” He replied.

“Why not?”

“I-I’m too scared to go near an enemy.”

“Here, just take my old katana, just in case.”

We grabbed the loot and continued our journey to Ivalice.
