Chapter 13

Mikko’s POV
(flashback chapter)
Febuary 20,2008 –

I was a bit exhausted from the photoshoot – yeah , photoshoot guys – giro and I were invited to pose for candy’s march issue – giro and I were a bit flattered and whats ironic was the article about us was entitled – “ hot bachelors & 18 “ – haha , cant stop laughing at that one - - we were kinda used to these kind of things I mean , giro and I worked part time models at some agency which is where I got money to buy my car , but this one was a bit different - - - straight after the photoshoot – we both rushed down to alchemios  a bar where our band needed to perform that night . . . weird weird night. . . the whole gang is there as always – eriko , Katie , and everyone from campus I guess --- and damn I was stil wearing the same polo shirt that I got from the photoshoot haha , cool vector design though.

Before we performed – sir tuanyo told us that a girl performed there and sang a Christian song and got standing ovations ? I wonder - - singing a Christian song In alchemios ? a bar known for having the drunkiest persons there is - - she’s got one cool attitude whoever she is …

Going to the boys room to get ready - - I kept thinking about the girls am gonna meet tonight , the tequila , and the damn exams for tomorrow , oh well , I can balance em naman - - walking out of the boys room while reading the lyrics , when all of the sudden . . . 

KC’S POV

Febuary 12,2008 –

My Family is getting bankrupt – my mom is losing her job and so is dad - - we were literally being held by a thread. . and umaasa nalang kami sa artworks ko at sideline gigs - - my mom and dad was both artists and so was I - - the Invsetment company flew on us and we were left with only 10% of what we had; my college was also hanging by a thread I didn’t know what to do; the next day in the art gallery that I was a guest in my friend michi told me that I could get a scholarship in Xavier school; my mom and I took the risk and my dad said it was a total gamble of whats left,

It was so rough that time – we were moments from being evicted . . . they fought  . . . .. . . . and they ended up splitting up;

My mom was all I had - -

I was so devastated , dad was my inspiration towards art;

. .  I gambled , I took the scholarship test .

I was so desperate to go to college this year and we needed a place to stay; mom told me that she will be sending out letters to everyone she knows . . and I was looking for every art gallery - - places for gigs .  . . .

3 days after the exam , I got the result - - - and .  . .

I was really shocked to see that I qualified for the full scholarship - - mom was extatic !!! I just hope that dad was here with us . . mom got a job from a firm somewhere up north and we found a decent place to stay .  .  . it was in san Antonio heights subdivision , it was hella expensive but mom told me that we would be able to move there because her new job , it can pay the bils !!! YEY !! apparatly we are not going pala , we’re gonna stay here in our apartment so okay , I’m completely booked for the next few months and sideline gigs - - YEY ! after all of the trouble ! wooohhh - -

I am now officially happy , and still single hehe yes , still single – laging may close calls pero it ends up . . . I’m a Christian so its okay to stay single for a while , true love waits !!! hiihihi

One Night I got a call from Sir Tuanyo - - he wanted me to sing in his club - - - - - he told me that in the same night he wanted to add a different flavor and I was perfect for the job , I humbly accepted since sir tuanyo is a good friend of mine and was my mentor in the music industry – ( uu nasa music industry ako , pero kanta kanta sa tabi tabi lang ) –

Febuary 20 , 2008 - -

I was excited . . hindi ako makapili ng isusuot ko - -

I just picked out a pink shirt that has a the word LIFE in it, and a mini skirt and some fancy high heels . . .
Front act daw ako sa isang rock band - - i told him that I wanted to sing hosanna , he said it was okay as long as I can handle the reactions of the people - - I said I can as long as they don’t get physical ! hehehe I was looking forward to the money that I’m going to get kasi malaking tulong rin yun kay mom

I sat down there . . I sang  hosanna . . . . in a bar ? - -

Well yeah , me myself got chills an it was a really great experience - - the crowd was weird because they somehow liked my performance and wanted an encore . . . .

The whole night , was great ? wala akong kasama dun sa bar so andun lang ako sa isang corner waiting for my turn . . . I got free drinks - - - I was really bored , wondering what the next band would do , looking at my cellphone as if may katxt ako  - - all I got was a text from mom telling me “ goodluck “ . . .

After a while  , I made my way into the girls room - -I was really nervous , because performing again after a to-be famous rock band . . . It was completely scary . . I had to read the lyrics again . . yeah – hindi na ako tumitingin masyado sa daan – just holding that piece of paper and memorizing it again. I don’t want to butcher the song hehe –

. when all of the sudden . . .


Mikko’S POV

•    gahhhhhh ( hits someone )

midly falling on the ground - -  crap I bumped into this girl - - - - lol , no time for chit chat – I grabbed the lyrics and then headed to the stage , hindi nako nag sorry – I bet siya rin naman ang may kasalanan – hindi tumitinign eh nag mamadali nako – LOL

. . . . giro started singing and ofcourse I was backup -

After a repertoire of songs that we wrote  . . . giro insisted that we sing fall for you by secondhand serenade - - -

The audience liked it - - . . . I was scanning the audience; thinking . . . thinking . . about my life ? lol yeah my life , I was thinking about my life . . it was so perfect . . . pero it just really felt like something was missing .  .  . I got high grades in almost everything , a dance varsity-, still  - -  I’m missing something .

. . .  then I saw this girl . . . among all the audience siya lang yung hindi nakiki sabay or naka focus samin. She was reading this book ? and had this many many pieces of paper , and a pencil. Parang eksena sa isang anime . parang sa kanya lang nag focus ng tingin ko . she was alone – reading her book - - - se was pretty -  - - . . then ironically . her shirt said LIFE in it . ironic. . . very ironic.

I just thought , she’s just some random girl.
Oh well. .
. .  we just continued the song - - -


. . . finishing our part - - sir tuanyo told us we were great as always ( yeahhboii )

Later that Night finishing our whole gig , I ditched my friends and the band for a moment , for some weird reason , out of boredom I guess , I was looking for that random girl – I found at the audience - - hehehe , curious lang – ganda kasi ng shirt niya , LOL. *coughs  . . . .
Damn , I couldn’t find her anywhere . . . I searched the whole establishment  . .  well hindi pa lahat – yung girls room nalang – hehe

I just wondered what gotten into me and I kept searching for her . . . oh well , I told myself she’s just another random girl . . . hehe , so pinabayaan ko nalang- - “ whats gotten into me ?” LOL – going back to our table , I heard someone play - - better off alone – by marie digby? - - cute – sy song - - hehe

i looked at the stage - - it was kinda far off from us … but it was pretty obvious that . . . . . .

she was the same girl I saw before ? - - - crap , she sings !?!?!?! hahaha - - COOL - -
so okay , my cheesiness got the best of me again ,I hate this feeling . .. ( hehe , joke lang )  - I dunno about you other guys out there but , sometimes I feel my heartbeat jump sideways and then I have my eyes focused into directly this one person - - and then your world just stops  . . . .. . . . hahahahha ,lolololol.

Oh well , I’m busy drinking infinite . . ( semi alchohol drink ) hehe - - -

GOD !!! this guy just bumped me without even saying sorry !! tsk , nakaka inis . . .

Urghhh --- tsk --- I sat by my table and read new moon instead - - nakaka sira ng gabi yun - - so I didn’t pay attention to the band I just focused on the thing that I was reading  . . I was to sing again . . I sang better off alone nalang - - - -

Going back home-

I told mom that I had enough money to support my first semester of allowance . . . she was happy …and so was I . .


We moved to a new subdivision –
New neighbors . . .


Reaching our new neighborhood . I scanned the area – I saw this really big house right next to us - - - it was kinda intimidating  , cool architecture - - and there were 3 cars  ? so okay mayaman siya - - hehe – kami naman may garden – may garden din sila , typical suburban neighborhood - - - there were no gates – sa mga bahay ditto since super tightened naman ang security - - - I was really happy that god really can provide 

I went to my room , really excited – I assembled my things , clothes , kikayness , and everything ( pati computer ko hihi ), i looked out the window - - I saw this bedroom - - right across mine , kung baga , mga ilang metro nalang magka tabi na ang room namin – I was very curious , kung sino ang naka tira dun sa kabilang house hihi  , who knows ? baka psycho ang naka tira dun !? haha , the window across is very open , so I could see a computer ? hmm geek siguro yan - - badminton raquet/s - - a keyboard - - a couch -  . and a guitar , and a human size mirror - - hmmm - - so okay , lalake ang naka tira dun – explained by the color of the couch , kasi blue hindi siya pink ? haha – assumptions , assumptions – then suddenly 

This GUY !? suddenly woke up from this bed somewhere ? hmm - - appearing to be topless ??? - - okay so I panicked because if he sees me looking it would look like . . I’m spying well , duhhh - - I am certainly not !? he was stretching , but I never really got a glimpse of his face - - I was panicking - - so I just stood up , turned my back , and then slammed the door shut - -

Okay , so I live next to a guy ? - - I never really got to see his face - - and yes , wala na akong plan na Makita siya ulit – I honestly don’t want to divert myself kasi focused ako sa acads and also helping my mom  . . . so basically I always came home late – to work ( yes naka hanap ako ng work for the remaining months before the school year ends )

And at the same time , nagigising ako super aga , as In 5 AM palang umaalis na ako - - syempre I don’t want to be late and mahirap sumakay ng bus na ordinary na hindi ako naka tayo – and mom is also working really really full time and minsan hindi na umuuwi - - - so ako nag iisa lang sa  bahay - -  boring pero I drown myself in watching movies at night or dancing sa mini studio sa basement - - hihi , I requested mom to add up a mini studio during the renovation of the place ( hihi ) or piano my heart out dun sa grand piano na naiwan samin nung late grand mother ko - - so okay - - from being really really broke , ngayon mejo steady na ang buhay naming ni mom , mejo nakaka angat na kami –

Pero talagang na iintimidate ako dun sa aking neighbor , bakit ? siguro dahil sa mga kwento ng mga kapit bahay namin and mga tao na naging kaibigan ko

- - sige hmmm – almost 1 ½ months na akong nka tira ditto , pero to be honest , isang beses ko palang siya nakikita

. . . kwento ng mga ibang neighbor ko , si ate lyka – she told me that a guy lived next to us . . never really got to know his name although she did mention na gwapo daw . yun nga lang suplado at anti social  . .. nung narinig ko yung word na anti social and suplado , it felt like parang naging semi-bitter ako – parang grabe naman yun  - hehe , pero I dunno - - hindi ko pa naman siya nakikilala - - or nakkita . .  hmmm – I’m not really looking forward into meeting him anyway . . . .

Okay , life at the new subvision ? - - hmm pag nag didinner kami ni mom she always would ask me kung kelan ko daw plano mag boyfriend , she approves naman daw as long as he’s meets her expectations ? lol . . . gusto ni mom yung matino - - - (period )

“ kc , kelan mo planong mag boyfriend ? hindi naman habang buhay ako ang kasama mo diba . . ?”

“ mom , wala pa po akong plano , okay ? hehe , focus muna ako sa acads this coming semester .”

“ kasi ayokong naiiwan kang mag isa ditto sa bahay .  . who knows  . ?”

“ mom tightened ang security ditto ? wag ng mag worry okay - ??? “

“ I heard yung neighbor natin . ang name si m---?

“ MOM  ? I know him , his room is right next to mine ? okay ? and wala talaga akong plans - - “

“ gwapo daw  . . . anak “

“whutever , hehe lagi naman - - “

“ gwapo , may kotse , matalino , varsiety ; and apparently sa thursdays . since his parents are out of the country , I invited him and his sister .. Vanessa to eat dinner here “

“ GOOD ! , tamang tama , yun yung time na pupunta ako sa antipolo for the interview about my art works , goodluck ! “

“ hay nako - - magkikita rin kayo - - “

“ okayyyy ? I’m not looking forward to it . . and bakit ba mom ? why are you pushing me to that guy ?:. “

“ aba anak hindi naman kita tinutulak sa lalaking yun  - - “

“ lets not talk to about any guy okay ? LETS EAT DINNER ! and talk about something else “ .  . . englishera kami ni mom si hapag kainan ,nasanay na dahil kay dad –

Oh well  - - I’m gonna be spending the whole day sa antipolo and siguro – super late na rin naman akong darating so theres no chance na mapasali ako sa dinner na yun - -

Mikko’s Pov

SUMMER !!! beybeh !

So okay , beach and gigs ! and the summer hiphop workshop   . . .

And then - - this one day ? when - - a new family moved into this unoccupied house next to us  . . okay so after an over muscle stretching krump workshop last night I slept half naked ( topless LOL wearing only my sweaty shorts and socks - - haha - - I woke up and stretched myself then I heard this weird noise of a girl like whimpering on the other room ? the room na malapit sa kwarto ko like 5 meters away I guess ? - - hehe - - then I saw her stood up ? turning her back - - LOL – her back looks cute though , haha , parang nagulantang yata siya , or something ? hmmm – hindi ko na nakita ang muka niya - - oh well - - its gonna be a long summer - -

I’m gonna be busy for  our studio recordings and ofcourse the summer workshop .  .

So  again after a few months of being vacant – this new place right next to ours is gonna be occupied by a new family  ? I saw the occupant nga eh , a girl ? . . .    *rawr hehe - - hmmm - - lol I guess she’s gonna be like those other girls here in the subdivision . who flirts there way into our house . . . . .annoying

. after a week of stay , na nanz told us na yung kapit bahay daw naming eh inimbitahan kaming mag dinner dun - - awkward , I told myself , dapat parents ko ang pupunta dun – hindi ako , LOL . . so I pushed Vanessa instead of me . . .

- - - hohoho – I’m gonna be out on may 29 anyway so - - theres no way for me to be a part of that awkward dinner anyhow - - LOLZ

May 29 !!!! .. weeee ! I just hung out with eriko and the whole dance group in our studio and practiced some new mad skilzzzz hehehe and then we spent the night in serve bar nalang - - freestylin . grooving , infinit ( drink ) LOL - - enjoyin summer beybeh !!! hehehe  - so i came home late . . . pretty damn late – I saw Vanessa nasa salas eating ? and watching tv - - it was pretty damn late ( 23:00 ) and Vanessa oh well watching disney channel . . .

“ haha – kidding - - I mean - - ano kinakain mo . . nessy ? “

“ huh ?? anong iyo !? hahaha - - “ I went straight to her and naki pag agawan ako ng tinidor and bowl sa kanya . . . harutan parang mga bata - - pero lambingan na naming tong magka patid - . . . then she immediately tells me . .

“ kuya maganda nga pala si ate kc - - - “

“ HUH ? ate ? sinO ? “

“ si ate kc , yung anak ni tita halos kasing age mo lang yata - - “

“ oh yeah   . . . “ habang nilalamon ko ang pagkain - - I was not paying attention to what she was saying . . hahaha

“  si ate kc , cute talaga siya kuya – unlike your slutty previous girlfriend - - urghhh - - “

“ huH !? WHAT THE !? anong sabi mo - - - hahahaha “ . . okay so mejo weird yung sinabi niya - - my slutty previous girlfriend ? lol slutty nga – always was naughty – ang hilig yumapos(talo pa ako ), humalik( . . . ) , tsk – she’s hot - - pero , sawa nako sa ganon and - - acads lang muna - - it was like years ago since I had her as my girlfriend . . I was messing up my sisters hair - - lol

” tsk kuya naman - - tsk alam mo namang ayaw ko kay ate Tania - - laging ang samang tumingin , and ang taray pag wala ka - - - “

“alam ko naman yun – and alam mo namang napilitan lang ako sa kanya ,  kaya nga hindi na ulit ako nag girlfriend eh – ayoko ng maulit yun sayo- - ikaw nalang pwede ? “ haha teasing my cute lil sister . . .

“ yuck ! kadiri ka kuya !! hmpfff - - pero alam mo - - siguro magugustuhan mo si ate kc - - “

“ huh ? haha hindi ko pa nga siya nakikita eh , baka mas slutty pa yan kay Tania - - hahaha “

“ ang sama mo ! “ okay so we teased each other the whole night . . hmmm . . we’re pretty close , kahit inuutusutusan ko lang si Vanessa I love her ! ( cheesy ) over protective nga ako sa kanya eh - - walang maka pang ligaw dahil sakin - - hahaha - - pero ayos lang – she’s not ready . .  . .  . . . . . hahaha


Oh well busy busy night - - I had to finish my draft speech for tomorrow - - so - - naka tulog nalang ako dun sa desk ko naka nga nga - - pero kahit ganon kailangang paring mag jogging - - - hoho

The next day  - - lol - - sa dami dami ng kotse na dadaan bakit Porsche pa ? tumigil tuloy ang takbo ng mundo ko at na bighani sa ganda ng kotse na ito ( lol ang lalim ) at nabunggo ko siya . . , ang tanga ko , lol

KC’s POV

Kauuwi ko lang galling antipolo and weird enough , mom told me that only his SISTER , joined in , kasi daw yung parents nila nasa abroad – hindi nako masyadong nakipag kwentuhan kay mom about dun - - magkikita rin kami some other time , pero still I aint looking forward parin. Hehe , so natulog nalang ako ng maaga - - before I close the curtains dun sa kwarto ko I saw him ? sleeping dun sa desk niya nag aaral - - ? or kung ano man . . . waw masipag palang bata - - pero hindi ko parin nakikita ang muka niya - - hihihi - - uhmm so I closed the lights and natulog nalang ako - - 

The next day I woke up early , super aga – as in . . maaga talaga - - so tumambay nalang ako dun sa bench sa labas ng bahay and sketched the house - - - I was bored , to kill time kasi in the next few hours kasi mag iinquire/oorient na ako sa bago kong school - - okay  - so totally na wala akong kilala sa bago kong school ? so what ? makaka adjust naman ako – hihi

Then tinamad na rin ako – I gathered up my things – my drawing block sketch book – and then I saw this 2008 Porsche 911 GT2 car pass by dun sa kabilang kalye - - - nawindang ako ( hihi car junkie rin ako I LURVVVV CARS ) then all of the sudden - -

“ wahhhhh “
*( falls down to the sidewalk )*
“ aaiighh “  i squealed  , okay so I dropped my sketch book

“ ohh my god miss , I’m sorry I wasn’t looking I was-. . “ the guy replied - - - wait he looks kinda familiar . . crap - - siya yata – si ?
“ pasensya na po talaga “  he said . . habang nagkakamot ng ulo

“ ay hehe nako ako nga dapat mag sorry “ I replied softly
“ ang engot ko kasing maglakad hehehe , “
“ biglang napafocus attention ko dun sa Porsche G - -  na car na biglang dumaan “  I said , omg crap stupid , I shouldn’t have said that , I looked like a geek tuloy , tsk

“ pasensya na po talaga  “ I said

“ hehe pareho pala tayo , uhmmm miss you dropped something yata “ crap napansin niya yun ? nakaka hiya naman -

“ ahhhh my sketchbook , wag nyo po buklatin nakakahiya “ I humbly replied
“ pangit po yan amateur tingnan “ sabi ko

“ hindi kaya , nakita ko nga yung first page eh “ keso de bola ? hmmm

“ hmmm pangit po yan hehe xD “ humble , hihi

“ anyway i haven’t seen you around , taga san ka ? “ earth to yOu ? kapit bahay niyo . . . . yata ?

“ uhmm bagong lipat lang po kami dito sa subdivision “  bagong lipat 1 ½ months ago

“ ahh talaga , saan dito ?? “

“ dito po sa puting bahay na to ,hehehe , kalalabas ko lang po check out ko po yung lake , may lake daw po kasi dito eh magandang scenery ang isang lake para isketch ^^ hehe “ reality check . . so okay I made up some lame excuse and told him about something about a lake , para ma divert ang pinag uusapan namin

“ talaga ? hahaha yun bahay namin oh  katabi ng inyo “  - - -

“ hehe okiez ^^ gotta go see yah around its almost 50 pupunta pako sa school para mag inquire “   okay so mali yata yung oras na nabangit ko --- I needed to go anyway so .

“ ah okay geh miss inga--- wait miss ano nga pala pangalan mo ?  hehe forgot to ask ?  “ he asked while giving me a big smile . . tinanong niya ang name ko O.o

then suddenly mom screamed . . my name . before I could even say what my name was . .

“ HOYYY KATRINAAA ! AYUSIN MO MUNA ANG KAMA MO ! BAGO KA LUMABAS NG BAHAY !! “ stupid , I forgot to fix my bed – nakaka hiya tuloy

“ aw its my mom, nako hehe sorry po kailangan ko na pong pumasok sa bahay baka sumabog si mommy : ) siguro next time nalang ako pupunta sa lake “  I replied and smiled a bit - -

“ waw katakot naman , nweiz okay see you around by the way my name is . . . “ he said . .. I never knew his name - - -

“KATRINAAAAAAAA !!!”  mom shouted again . . . really an embarrassing moment for me - - -

“ COMING !!!! “
“ nako pasensya na talaga gotta go “ I said .  . I hurried up inside . . .

Okay  ? an awkard moment with my neighbor - - okay so I’m not gonna lie , he’s cute or gwapo ika nga ng mga tao dito – and na isip ko lang ? hindi naman pala siya suplado eh - - this confrontation somewhere proved me wrong , he was really nice - - well I don’t know , whoever he is . . . magkapit bahay lang kami – and its really weird - - I feel my heart beat faster than ever before - - - I mean – all this time na nag usap kami – ang bilis ng tibok ng puso ko - - hindi ko alam kung bakit -? – kabadong kabado ako - - then I was always looking away siya naman , naka tingin lang sakin - - sa mga mata ko - - tsk I’m being over poetic - -

Need to prepare for the first day of school !
